From time to time you may wish to update, add, or remove the segments you have on Stribe. For example, if a team has been renamed or if you have a new way you want to interpret your survey data.

These segments can be used to target or analyse data by, and the team segment is used as the ‘Primary’ identifier (subject to anonymity rules) across Stribe’s shout-outs, messages, and dashboard features.

  1. Head to ‘Settings’

  2. In the sub-menu click on ‘Manage Segments’

From there you can do the following actions:

  • Add a new segment - create a new segment to help you manage surveys. This might be directorate, contract type, or working location for example.

  • Add a new value to that segment - If you have a new team, office, or job type you can use this to update your segment

  • Merge values within your segment - If team’s have merged, or some of your values are too small you can use this to update them.

  • Check who is within each segment’s value - Click on the blue hyperlinked text to make sure everyone is where they should be

  • Delete a segment’s value - If it’s no longer valid, use this to update quickly your data

  • Delete an entire segment - If you’ve decided you no longer need that segment

👋 Remember - the updates you make here will update any past survey data too. This means if you have run a survey in the past, and would like to see it analysed by a segment you didn’t have at the time, you can update your segments and your survey report will update too!
