New feature: How to send an Announcement (March 2023)

Share your events details, employee recognitions and other news with the Announcement feature!

At Stribe, we know that effective communication is crucial to the success of any organisation, which is why we've launched the Announcements feature!

By introducing Announcements, admins can now notify everyone all at once with the click of a button. As well as sending out an email notification, they'll also pop up in the Shout-outs wall so your employees can engage with them.

What's the difference between Announcements & Shout-outs?

Whilst employees can send Shout-outs to recognise each other's hard work, we've disabled notifications on Shout-outs that are sent to everyone to prevent a build up of emails. But we understand that admins still need a way to communicate important information company-wide! Which is why we've introduced Announcements as an admin-only feature, so you can keep employees in the loop and ensure they feel connected.

  • Share event details Add images and hyperlinks to the event

  • Signpost to different areas of Stribe eg; if you've introduced a new section in your resource hub, you can link your employees straight from an Announcement

  • Introduce new employee incentives Announce any benefit schemes, perks and more

  • Employee of the month Celebrate those that have gone the extra mile

  • Link your Announcement with internal campaigns Share content that's relevant to your internal campaigns to help spread the word eg; Mental Health Awareness Month


    How to send an Announcement - Step by Step

  1. On your admin account, open the Shout-outs page and click 'New Announcement' on the top right

  2. Select who you want your Announcement to be shared with - it will only be visible to the audience you select

  3. Give your Announcement a title. Go for something that will grab your employees attention!

  4. Fill in the Announcement details. This is where you can put all of the information about your Announcement

  5. (Optional, but recommended!) Add an image by dragging and dropping a picture into the dotted box in step 3. Or you can click the box and insert an image from your file browser

  6. Choose whether you want to notify your employees. An email notification will be sent through to your employees a few minutes after the Announcement goes live

  7. Check the Announcement reads correctly in the preview box on the right hand-side

  8. Once you're ready to send, click 'πŸŽ‰ Send Announcement πŸŽ‰'

  9. And that's it! Your Announcement will be live on the Shout-outs page!

    Need to make a change?

  10. Click the three dots on the top right of the Announcement and select 'Edit'

  11. Amend the title and Announcement details text and click 'Save'

  12. To delete, just click the three dots again on the top right of the Announcement and select 'Delete'

  13. In the pop up window, select the 'Delete' button again. This will remove your Announcement from the Shout-out wall
